Kathmandu, April 27: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has said its attention was drawn by the report-related to the post-quake reconstruction made public by the Amnesty International Nepal. A statement issued on Thursday by the NRA has responded to the report entitled The Failure of the 'Nepali Government to Protect the Marginalised in Post Earthquake Reconstruction Efforts'. Admitting to the fact that the reconstruction had failed to pick up pace, the statement said various policies have been formulated to provide reliefs and resettle the families affected by the quake as soon as possible while high-priority has been given to affected women, children and impoverished people. "Homework is underway to implement the provision to loan out Rs 300,000 each to the poorest family affected by the quake on collective guarantee through coordination with the Ministry of Finance," the statement said.
