The Nepal Electricity Authority will be capable to end load-shedding. But once KulmanGhising was appointed to man the inefficient NEA, he has made this almost impossible task possible. Although the government has not yet announced the end of the load-shedding, the people in Kathmandu have virtually overcome the problem of load-shedding. The NEA under Ghiisng's leadership has stop cutting power since Tihar festival. Ghising managed to do this all through internal management and import of electricity from India. He has controlled leakage of power and the practice of unfair distribution. Some powerful NEA employees were found supplying fuel illegally to a few industries. But Kulman ended this disparity. If all goes as planned, load-shedding is likely to be over for ever in near future. Ghising surely deserves kudos for this work. Energy Minister Janardan Sharma will also be appreciated for appointing the right man to lead the NEA that has been mired in corruption and ill management for the past several years.
