Rastriya Prajatantra Party leader Sunil Bahadur Thapa said he would extend the support to sitting party Chairman Kamal Thapa in the leadership fray in the upcoming general convention.Issuing a statement today, the former minister said he and his team members would advocate for a unanimous election of the party leadership; but back Kamal Thapa if there would be any election for the chairmanship.Sunil Bahadur is the son of party founder and former Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa.RPP is scheduled to hold its general convention from February 17 to 20 at Bhrikutimandap of Kathmandu It has been learned that Kamal Thapa and Prakash Chandra Lohani are preparing to contest for the party reign.
