All the deceased were from Lalitpur district and four of them were from a single family

Mar 24, 2017- Police have identified the six people ki!lled in a jeep accident at Rumale, Bhingri-6 of Pyuthan district on Friday.

An ill fated jeep (Ba 1 Cha 1561) carrying pilgrims to Swargadwari from Banepa of Kavrepalanchok district skidded off the road and fell some 200 meters down.

All the deceased were from Lalitpur district and four of them were from a single family, said Chief District Officer Yadunath Poudel.

According to him, Padma Basnet, 40, Diya Basnet, 22, Dinesh Basnet, 45, and Dikshya Basnet, 13, all from the same family died in the accident. The other deceased are Shristi Baran, 24, and Sunita Shrestha, 52. There others were seriously in@jured in the accident.

Bus driver Saroj Ghale, of the same place, Sushila baral, and Ambika Gajurel have been inj@ured. They have been referred to Butwal for further treatment after a first-aid treatment at a primary health post.
