Nepalis and Indians clashed, has viewed that the incident occurred due to failure on India's part to implement a decision taken two years ago.Immediately after the incident, a bilateral meeting between security officials and local administrators of both the side agreed to immediately halt the construction of levee at Dasgaja area and form a joint team of technicians from Nepal's Department of Water Induced Disaster Prevention and India's Jal Sansadhan Department to probe into the matterAs a part of its objective, Nepali team of technicians made an onsite inspection of the area on Tuesday.
Team coordinator and the Department's senior divisional engineer Arbind Gupta accused India of not adhering to an agreement forged on March 2014 between Nepal and India at Patna, India. Due to the negligence, both Nepal and India are facing inundation problems, he said.
