Yesta papi Lai dinu parchh Hai Sir

Nepal holds the local level elections after 20 years, peoples from different walks of life look excited to exercise their sovereign voting rights enshrined by the constitution of Nepal and cast their votes to elect the eligible representatives for their ward, village council or municipality.

Batauli Lamichhane, 115, cast his vote at the polling centre at Arunodaya Secondary School of Matra village with support of his son. Similarly, Nanda Bahadur Poudel, a 105-year-old senior citizen, cast votes in Gorkha.

In Syangja, a differently-abled man Sujan Giri, 52, walked on his hands to cast his votes in Putalibazaar Municipality-14 of Syangja district (photo below).
