Reporters Club Chair and senior journalist Rishi Dhamala has been nominated for the prestigious NZ Nepal Journalist Award. NZ Nepal Chair Kedar Chapagain said Dhamala was chosen for the award with a purse of Rs 50,000 and a copper plate based on suggestions from more than 5,000 people living in different corners of the world.The respondents opined that Dhamala had spent more airtime on the issues of current politics on radio and television than any other Nepali journalist. According to Chapagain, Dhamala further contributed to making Nepali people aware through the popular forum Reporters club, which he had founded. Dhamala is visiting Christchurch of New Zealand to receive the award next month
