Situation at BP Chowk in Rautahat has returned to normalcy following clash between police and cadres of Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha on Sunday.
At least three people, including a journalist, were injured in the clash.The clash ensued when police tried to stop Morcha cadres trying to disrupt CPN-UML's assembly at Barrack Chowk in Gaur. The assembly was attended by UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal. Nepal has now been brought to Chandranigahapur amid tight security.Police had taken strict security measures in the main opposition's programme venue since early morning. Vehicles and people's movement were also halted in view of the programme.Locals have blamed the security bodies of creating unnecessary hassles for them by 'capturing' the Barrack Chowk since early morning.
